Highbridge and Burnham Trusted Carers is a project run by locals for locals. Local organisations, businesses and residents have come together to build a network of people who care about and care for those that live within our communities. Together we are forming community cohesion and ensuring those that live amongst us that need a little bit of help, gain it from local trusted people.
We have a local network of very small providers of care or support services in and around Highbridge, Burnham and the surrounding villages. This might include services and supports that offer people help to:
· Undertake their personal care
· Manage their home or garden
· Get out and about to do things like shopping, hospital etc
· Meet friends, pursue hobbies or to work.
We also have a team of community volunteers who are the eyes and ears of our neighbourhoods that assist in building bonds within their own streets, to ensure that we find those that need support and are able to offer it to them.
Local businesses are also working on this project with us to engage with and support their local communities.
Together, we CAN make a real difference, so if you want to be part of this exciting community project, be that as one of our treasured community volunteers or you have a business or group that wishes to engage in the wellbeing of your community, then please contact us on the form below.
If you or a loved one is thinking of getting someone to provide care but it all seems to be daunting and scary, or you are interested in becoming a Trusted Carer, please contact us for a discussion on the form below or call on a Tuesday and Wednesday on

Times are agreed, schedules are created, and everyone can plan the rest of the day with ease and peace of mind.
At Highbridge and Burnham Trusted Carers, we are guided by a set of core values that include compassion, respect, integrity, and excellence. We believe that these values are essential to providing the best possible care to you, and our providers strive to uphold them in everything they do.
Highbridge and Burnham Trusted Carers have teamed up with 10 other care projects across Somerset, to work together and bring communities together to improve the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of adult social care.
The community projects will help people find care and support networks close to their home.
The Somerset Cares Alliance will share ideas and set priorities to help each community come together. Volunteers, families and communities will unite to ensure that no one gets left out and everyone is cared for and supported.
